Packing Tips
Follow The 5-4-3-2-1 Packing Method
If you aren’t aware, the 5-4-3-2-1 packing method allows you to pack more efficiently and save space. It was popularised by vlogger Geneva Vanderzeil on her TikTok account. According to the method, for a week-long holiday, pack five tops, four bottoms, three dresses, two swimsuits, and one pair of accessories each. Depending on the weather, activities, and occasion, this layout can be adjusted. For an occasion like a honeymoon, you might want to pack special occasion wear, and that’s okay. This is a minimal method to pack and allows a place to start. After you pack the bare minimum, you can add more items. To save space, invest in good-quality packing cubes.

Check The Weather Updates
Before you start throwing items in your suitcase based on your honeymoon packing checklist, check the weather updates for the location. Tropical weather is unpredictable and rain forecasts can change every week. It’s best to add or subtract items depending on the place you’re traveling to! If you’re also planning activities like hiking or scuba diving, you will need to pack specific clothing or gear like walking shoes and a diving kit (if you prefer yours.)
Plan For Extra Space
Packing thoughtfully can save space and make more for when you buy & carry back souvenirs for yourself and other friends/ family. Throwing in the toiletries and clothes without thinking them through can also make it difficult to find them at your destinations. Instead, pack the clothes in compression cubes, makeup in a separate bag, toiletries in another one, and so on.

Start Packing Before The Wedding
If you’re leaving for the honeymoon within a week after the wedding, then start packing for your honeymoon beforehand. See the honeymoon packing checklist can bring to your attention some items that you might have forgotten to purchase and can only be ordered. Plus, you might want to soak the wedded bliss for a day or two after the wedding, creating a last-minute panic for honeymoon packing when not started beforehand.
